My Yankee Girl is the stable star from the Hirsch Park racing complex at Tylden, and she chalked up her fourth win from nine starts by taking out the MSS Security Rivette Series Final at Flemington on Saturday.

The strong four-year-old by American Pharoah (USA) from Pittsburgh Flyer carried second topweight of 58kg and was ridden in fine style by top jockey Jye McNeil.

Ever since winning on debut over 1000m, trainer John Salanitri and his brother Frank (racing manager) have had a high opinion of My Yankee Girl, one of the many gallopers to carry the distinctive colours of long-time successful owner-breeder Eddie Hirsch.

At her previous outing, when ridden by Damien Oliver, My Yankee Girl won easily at Caulfield.

On Saturday, the mare was a $4.80 chance and settled back in the field with the opportunity to make an unimpeded run at the right time.

She accelerated quickly and beat Rioyuki and Belle Rouge by a narrow margin.

The mare now has stake earnings of $227,000 to her credit, from four wins, two seconds and a third.
