Fine skies finally greeted Castlemaine District Cricket Association sides last Friday evening and Saturday with some close contests battled out. Results were as follows:
A Grade
Guildford 7-195 (T Thomas 72, S Webster 32, N Webster 26, T Reece 3-28) lost to Newstead 4-197 (R Smith 87 not out, C Hepburn 33, K Walter 27, A Parsons, 2-35).
Muckleford 139 (J Watson 46, E Gingell 26, D George 4-21) lost to Castlemaine United 6-140 (C Aldridge 34 not out, J Priest 2-27).
Hepburn drew with Maiden Gully Marist and Barkers Creek had the bye.
A Reserve
