Get tech savvy

Kat Mansbridge and Garry Clark are getting tech savvy.

Kyneton Community House is helping the community become computer savvy in 2023.

During the first half of this year, KCH will run courses tasked at enhancing the digital skills of Kyneton residents through the Adult Continuing Further Education program.

The weekly class, Digital Basics, will cover topics such as photo management, email, Microsoft Office, calendars, cyber safety, scam awareness and more. Students are also welcome to suggest topics for study as the course progresses.

There is no obligation to attend a session where the topic is not relevant to you.

This is a supportive and friendly class aimed at ensuring no one feels intimidated by the world of computers.

Digital Basics runs at KCH, 34 Mollison Street, each Wednesday through to June 21 from 9.30am to 11.30am. The cost is $100.

Bookings are required.

KCH is also running a drop-in session if you have a smart phone question that you don’t need a whole course to work out.

Someone will be on hand to help for a gold coin donation.

Some topics that you could get help with include using networks (wi-fi), social media, downloading apps and password management.

You can even purchase something to eat from KCH’s Small Bites menu while you’re there.

Get Smart on Your Smart Phone runs each Tuesday at the Good Food Hub at 35 High Street, 12pm to 2pm. Bookings are not required.
