We would like to advise the wider community that our parking petition for Gisborne CBD was submitted to the MRSC meeting on Wednesday July 25. Thank you Cr Andrew Twaits for accepting and speaking on behalf of the 1982 signatories.
We would also like to thank both the Gisborne Village and Gisborne Central Centre Management Groups and the various businesses throughout town who approached our group seeking assistance to initiate and facilitate the petition regarding this chronic shortage of available parking to service businesses and clientele.
To coincide and support the petition we have previously submitted and made formal presentation to the recent budget process. This provides feedback to council, the petition will become part of a formal report to be presented to councillors in the future for consideration.
We acknowledge and sincerely thank those individual businesses, residents and visitors to the town for their input and support.
