Long Paddock Cheese based at The Mill Castlemaine has been named among the winners at the 2024 delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards.

The Long Paddock fromage claimed the top gong in the ‘From the Dairy’ category at the awards, which are the country’s most prestigious food industry campaign.

Now in its 19th year, the awards focus on Australia’s best producers – the people who grow, cultivate, harvest and catch the produce supplied to the country’s leading chefs and hospitality venues.

Long Paddock Cheese general manager Gaetan Chapon said they were deeply honoured.

“We are so proud to be where we are today, only four years after starting our project in Castlemaine. This is the reward of hard work, dedication, and commitment to reach our goals and make the product we love. To not only make great cheeses but also allow others to understand and learn the craft from us, whether they have professional goals or simply want to make cheeses for home,” Gaetan said.

“We are also very proud to bring more exposure to our fantastic town and to The Mill in particular, with all its producers that we collaborate with every day.”
