Mount Alexander Shire Council advertised a small business workshop in the Express on October 23 (‘Do you need a succession plan?’ page 6).
So this council is now capable of telling businesses in our shire what they should do regarding selling their business or changing management in their business. I think not!
Mount Alexander Shire Council needs to stick to what it is elected to do; the basics.
Don’t get involved in business education as you are a failure yourself and this has been proven. Let’s look at our own landfill debacle; the purchase of the old Wheel and Loom building in Maldon; continuously replacing gravel walking trails along Campbells Creek below the high water mark … and this council is going to tell you how to be smarter in your business decisions? Spare us all please!
