Australia’s best emerging choral singers, the National Youth Choir of Australia, will be performing at Castlemaine’s Anglican Church tonight.
The choir will be performing timeless choral repertoire from Byrd to Monteverdi and Tavener to Pärt, including notable Australian works from Naomi Crellin, Carl Crossin and Anne Cawrse.
For more than two decades, NYCA has operated as a nationally auditioned SATB chamber choir for singers aged 18-26. Bringing together Australia’s most outstanding young adult singers from all states and territories, they meet annually for an intensive workshop week culminating in a series of public concerts.
The duration of the concert is one hour. The event gets under way at 6.30pm. Tickets can be booked on Trybooking.com/DCRCC or via the website of the National Youth Choir.
