What a season it has been for Riddell’s new women’s football teams in 2025.
The Bombers have looked after the girls in both the senior and junior sides since day one, cheering them on, presenting some of the biggest crowds seen in women’s football in the RDFNL.
As a team the senior women have exceeded all expectations, winning their way into this Saturday’s grand final (August 16) against reigning premiers Macedon.
It’s a bye for the rest of the Riddell club, and the Bombers’ leadership is urging all supporters, and those connected now or in the past, to make the effort to go to Gilbert Gordon Oval in Woodend late on Saturday afternoon to cheer the senior side on.
“Let’s get a massive crowd with the red and black showing out in big numbers,” is the message.
The twilight grand final is scheduled to kick off at 5.30pm.
