The September/October School Holiday Program at the Woodend Neighbourhood House is packed with a wide range of activities designed to spark curiosity, creativity and connection.
Across the two-week holiday, children will have the chance to take part in hands-on STEM challenges, including a Robo Explorer workshop for younger children and a LEGO robotics session for older age groups.
For those with a creative flair, there are art workshops ranging from zentangle pillowcase designs and paper-based sunshine creations to outdoor bug-building with natural materials.
Drama enthusiasts can explore improvisation, performance and even screen acting in a workshop with Storyboard Drama Studios, while little yogis are invited to join Sarah from Shanti Studio for playful and relaxing yoga sessions.
Manager of the House, Melissa Baker, said the program reflected the House’s mission to support children and families with fun and educational activities through the school holidays.
“It’s fantastic that we’re able to offer such a diverse program for the spring school holidays,” she said.
“Whether your child loves science, art, performance or simply wants to try something new, there’s a workshop to suit.
“These activities are a wonderful way for children to learn, create, and connect with others in a supportive and welcoming environment.”
Programs cater for children from preschool to grade six, with places limited. Families are encouraged to book early to secure a spot.
