Many golfers take years to finally score a hole-in-one. Some never achieve one after decades of trying.
Playing with his dad Paul, Trentham junior golfer Harrison Kenton-Barnes, 17, scored a hole-in-one in his very first competition.
Playing off a handicap of 31 in the midweek monthly medal stroke event last Thursday, Harrison aced the 120-metre par-3 13th hole.
Not only did he score the hole-in-one, he also came runner-up in the C-grade competition on the day with a nett 69.
As a consequence, his handicap has gone down by five strokes.
Harrison joined Trentham at the start of October and put his three cards in for handicap. He received his handicap to play competitions three weeks before his ace.
