Summer art workshops launch in Maldon

Local sculptor Neil Tait will explore the art of perspective drawing.

The Maldon Artist Network has announced a vibrant program of Summer Art Workshops, set to take place from this Friday February 6 through to March 14.

This exciting seasonal program at the Arts Hub at 27 Main Street, Maldon, invites artists, creatives and curious minds from Maldon and beyond to come together and explore the joy of making art.

Over summer, the Arts Hub will be re-imagined as a dynamic centre for creative discovery, offering hands-on workshops, live artist demonstrations and engaging creative experiences designed for all ages and abilities.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, the workshops aim to inspire confidence, experimentation and connection through the arts.

A highlight of the program includes a portrait demonstration by Daniel Butterworth, recently featured on the ABC’s Portrait Artist of the Year, offering participants a unique opportunity to learn from a nationally recognised artist.

Local councillor Rosalie Hastwell will be immortalised in front of your eyes.

The Maldon Artist Network aims to foster a strong and inclusive creative culture, inspiring a passion for the arts throughout Maldon and the wider region. These summer workshops continue MANet’s mission to support artists, encourage community participation and make the arts accessible to everyone.
