3AW hosts visit Castlemaine, Harcourt

In a boost for local tourism businesses, 3AW Breakfast broadcast live from Shedshaker Brewery on March 16, celebrating autumn with a special show designed to encourage people back to the region.

Supported by Visit Victoria, this live show saw hosts Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft showcase all there is to do and see in Castlemaine and Harcourt, encouraging listeners to book a stay.

Both hosts enjoyed immersing themselves in the local community visiting businesses impacted by recent bushfires, including the Victorian Miniature Railway, Sutton Grange Wines and Harcourt Produce and General Store, alongside checking out The Mill in Castlemaine.

Several locals caught up with the duo when they stopped by Taproom at Shedshaker Brewing at The Mill to enjoy their morning coffee with a side of live talk-back radio.

Visit Victoria CEO Brendan McClements said Visit Victoria was proud to partner with 3AW to inspire Victorians to rediscover what makes Castlemaine and Harcourt ‘Every bit different’.

“This forms part of the Victorian Government’s ‘Regional Visibility Program’, which supports regional communities to recover from recent bushfires and floods by driving visitation through major media and broadcast partnerships,” Mr McClements said.

“Whether you’re here for live music, theatre performances, markets, or artisan food and wine, the creative spirit runs deep in this part of Victoria.”
