Folk singer to perform

Rising Naarm/Melbourne-based dream folk singer and songwriter Bec Sykes is headed to Castlemaine to perform songs from her Australian Music Prize-nominated debut album Pepperpot Magic and preview the new music she’s been creating since its release.

Lauded for her songwriting prowess, striking voice and captivating stage presence, the magnetism of Bec Sykes’ live performance is as palpable when performing stripped back on iconic recital centre stages as it is with her full band at much-loved sticky carpet venues. Her performances are grounded with a refinement and growth in confidence that mirrors the deeply personal evolution traced on her “beautifully intimate” (Atwood Magazine) debut album.

Bec Sykes live at the Taproom, with support from Jules Sheldon and Guthrie – Sunday August 9, 4pm to 7pm. Entry free.
