Macedon Ranges-Sunbury veteran cricketers welcomed The Australian Cricket Society team to play on turf at Keilor Park on Sunday.
Ranges skipper Dave Cordy won the toss and elected to bat.
Due to the weather forecast, it was decided to play four lots of 20 overs rather than the usual 40 overs apiece.
After both sides had faced 20 overs, the scores were the same – 99 each.
After the ACS team had bowled another 12 overs, the heavens opened up and play was abandoned.
Main scorers for the Ranges were Archie Dudderidge with 41 ret, also skipper Dave Cordy returned to form with 41 ret, and Australian representative Dale Thornton, 35.
Man of the match was awarded to Archie Dudderidge. Special thanks to Keilor Park Cricket Club for sponsoring the game.
