Macedon Ranges Shire Council chief executive officer Margot Stork has today resigned from her position.
Ms Stork said she was proud of the many achievements of the past three years while leading the
organisation, including major strategic work on the Statement of Planning Policy and Hanging Rock Strategic Plan, and delivering organisational reform.
The mayor, Cr Janet Pearce, said council appreciated the energy, commitment and focused work
performed by Ms Stork in the past three years.
“We acknowledge Ms Stork’s leadership as a true innovative and progressive thinker,” Cr Pearce
said.
“Ms Stork has reshaped council to be a stronger organisation looking to the future, and the breadth and depth of her achievements is a credit to her.”
Ms Stork was appointed to council in November 2017 on a four-year contract.
Ms Stork said her decision to leave Macedon Ranges before the expiration of her contract was a personal one based solely on the current circumstances of her family. She said she would be leaving the organisation no later than October 27.
Council will advise on future arrangements regarding the chief executive officer position at a later date.
