Good for your soul

Singing is making a comeback!

Macedon Ranges Shire Council’s initiative #creativeencounters has funded several projects across the shire including a ‘pop up choir’ project that local choir leaders Tara Flinn and Andrew Price, together with music presenter and grant winner Elly McKinnon, are rolling out over the next three months.

The project is called ‘Sing Park Sing’ and kicks off in Riddells Creek this Saturday, April 24, at 11.30am as part of the Autumn Village Park Party.
Tara is also actively recruiting new members for her a cappella women’s choir MaCapella Singers in Kyneton.
It is a great group of women who meet on Mondays at 10am in the Uniting Church Hall (Ebden Street) to learn to sing songs in harmony. No musical experience necessary and children are very welcome to go along!
What a great way to get out and enjoy our shire at such a spectacular time of year, do something wonderfully good for your soul and support our local artists. For more information on events in your area, visit www.mrsc.vic.gov.au or #creativeencounters
