Kyneton’s popular community lunch will be raising funds and awareness for Refugee Week tomorrow at Kyneton Mechanics Institute 12.30pm.
“We will be raising money for the Macedon Ranges Rural Australians for Refugees and are thrilled to have a representative from their group to speak at the lunch,” said Catherine Christmass, lunch coordinator.
“This initiative is another way the Community Lunch Team can pay back the donations and assistance we receive to keep our program running.”
The cost of lunch will be $10 and the team will donate $1 from every lunch to the MRRAR along with a ‘food drive’ for the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre in Fitzroy.
The Community Lunch team will be the delivery point for donations of dried food and tea which is always greatly needed by refugees in Victoria. Kyneton’s popular community lunch will be raising funds and awareness for Refugee Week on Wednesday, June 19, at Kyneton Mechanics Institute 12.30pm.
