Diners at this week’s Kyneton’s Community Lunch will be supporting local residents doing it tough for World Food Day.
People are asked to donate tinned food items for Kyneton Caring Community who help more than 1800 people a month put food on their tables.
Lunch coordinator Catherine Christmass said the local food bank at 60 Mollison Street is always in need of tinned food such as corn, tuna, spaghetti, baked beans, fruit, tomato, jars of sauces and other goods.
Kyneton Community House, and the community lunch which is held each Wednesday, until December 18 will be drop off points for food collection.
Situated next door to Ryan’s IGA, the food bank are always grateful to accept an extra item you may have purchased while feeding your family.
