The Visitor Economy team at Macedon Ranges Shire Council has unveiled the 2026 Macedon Ranges Autumn Festival poster with artwork by Chris ‘Roy’ Taylor.
Preparations are already well under way for the biggest and best Macedon Ranges Autumn Festival yet – highlighting a month-long celebration across nine villages on April 1-30.
The release of the 2026 poster coincides with a call out to shire-based hospitality businesses to submit their pastry-inspired menu items for the chance to be included in Australia’s Biggest Pie and Tart Trail.
The Pie and Tart Trail will be promoted nationally as part of broader marketing for the 2026 Macedon Ranges Autumn Festival.
The reimagined Tipple Trail will also return for 2026, highlighting seasonal signature beverages at hospitality venues, including vineyards, distilleries, wine bars, regional pubs, restaurants and cafes.
“At its core, the festival brings all the people from Melbourne into the Ranges and this delivers value for local businesses,” said Mark James, Kyneton Food Collective.
Venues can submit their ideas for the Pie and Tart Trail, and/or the Tipple Trail by September 30 to: bit.ly/2026AutumnFoodDrinkTrails
Those planning to run tourism events from April 1 to April 30 are also encouraged to contact festival organisers at council to explore opportunities to be featured within the Autumn Festival’s full month calendar of activity.
Events can include open gardens, markets, exhibitions, workshops, tours, guided walks, exclusive foodie degustation nights, launches, whole of town shopping nights, Easter/school holiday activities.
