Calling all Harcourt tradies

Hope Assistance Local Tradies (HALT) will be hosting a breakfast for tradies in Harcourt next Tuesday at James Park.

The grass-roots suicide prevention charity organises and runs events for tradies to raise awareness of mental health and connect people with local and national support services.

Concerned about the wellbeing of tradies in Harcourt following the January bushfires, HALT founder Jeremy Forbes decided to host a ‘Save Your Bacon Brekkie’.

“I’ve been talking to some people at Harcourt, and one of the things is that a lot of tradies that were impacted, affected by the fires, lost tools, which is obviously their livelihood,” he said.

“We are also raising funds to help replace tools lost in the fires, so if you’re a tradie who has lost tools in the fire, come along and we’ll do what we can to help.”

Head along to James Park at 7am on Tuesday, March 31, for a free bacon and egg roll and leave with the tools and resources needed to have tough conversations about mental health and to help support your mates through challenging times.
