Secrets of the past

Ronda Walker, president of the Friends of the Kyneton Museum Inc., is pictured with a bronze glazed teapot and milk jug that were a wedding present to Jane Sandercock and Daniel Vail in 1840 from their employers at Pencarrow Estate in Cornwall. The teapot and milk jug made the journey with Jane and Daniel to Australia in 1854 and were used at their home and in community events in Kyneton, continually up to 1954. They were donated to the Kyneton Museum in 2019 by Bev Gallagher, in addition to 80 other objects from her extended Kyneton family.
