A team member at Coles’ Woodend supermarket is self-isolating after testing positive for COVID-19.
In a statement posted to the Coles website last night, the company said a number of team members who worked in close contact had also been asked to self-isolate and Coles would continue to work with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services to finalise contact tracing.
“Coles’ standard cleaning procedures comply with the federal government’s COVID-19 Hygiene Practices For Supermarkets, and an additional deep clean of the store was arranged,” the statement read.
“Consistent with prior practice developed with the Victorian Department of Health, the store can continue to trade and the risk of transmission for customers and team members is very low.”
The infection ends almost two months of zero new active cases in the Macedon Ranges.
