A man was lucky to escape serious injury after he was pinned by a truck to a gate at a property on Bryces Lane at Newham this afternoon.
The 45-year-old construction worker was opening the gate about 1.15pm when his heavy rigid truck rolled forward and pinned him.
He was freed by colleagues who came to his aid.
Police and paramedics attended and the victim was taken to hospital and assessed for what appeared to be minor injuries.
