Team Strang have laced up their runners and are once again stepping out to raise money for the ‘Step Up To Cancer 10k per day’ challenge.
Last year’s challenge saw this group of Kyneton women raise more than $40,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation with the support of the community.
“This year the bar has been raised!” team member Jennifer Beachey said.
“Team Strang is holding a Breast Cancer Fundraiser event on Friday August 26, where there will be live music by Darcy Nolan and Taylor Sheridan.
“There will also be a silent auction, a raffle and lots of dancing.”
Last year Team Strang were so blown away with the support they received from the community, that they wanted to invite the whole town to celebrate and raise money for such a good cause.
“Cancer is an illness that has touched all of our lives. This is a positive way that we can support the foundation and raise awareness about breast cancer,” Jennifer said.
The event is supported by the Macedon Ranges Shire Council and many local businesses have jumped on board to support the event. All funds raised will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
