Works begin on Mark’s Country Place

Works are progressing on Mark's Country Place.

Works began last week on Mark’s Country Place at Deep Lead Lane in Kyneton following approval at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal last year.

Mark’s Country Place, a registered charity, is planned to be an all-access rest and recreation facility and gardens.

The facility will be open to all with the intention of catering primarily to people with special needs, their families and carers for relaxing, learning and enjoying activities not always available in other settings.

The rural location ensures peace and tranquility for clients from a broad base including schools, aged care and community facilities.

Initial works include the construction of a crossover and primary entrance on Deep Lead Lane with a further crossover and entrance for maintenance on Sebastopol Road.

Detailed planning is under way for the activity centre and the landscaping of the gardens and outdoor areas.
