Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday Castlemaine Vintage Bazaar – and now we are three!
“The Castlemaine Vintage Bazaar is turning three and we’re having a celebration!” declares the rarely-sighted Baron von Le’gPulling.
“There will be art activities for small and big humans – and face painting. And, of course, there will be cake!” Everyone is invited to join the festivities from 10am onsite at The Mill in Walker Street, Castlemaine on Saturday May 25.
Like most three-year-olds, the Castlemaine Vintage Bazaar has grown even bigger, with the recent launch of a new section to house bigger-brackery and thing-a-me-biggers – a new wing filled with larger furniture items and collectable curiosities. Now a gargantuan 2000 square metres, this collectors’ haven of wonderful wonderness is set within a reimagined 1870s woollen mill.
Groove along to the sounds of yesteryear as you meander around a multitude of stalls offering knick-knackery, bric-a-bracery, retro collectables, garagenalia, memorabilia, books, music, upcycled, downsized, handmade cleverness and quirky bits and pieces. And lotsa, lotsa vintage clothing.
The Castlemaine Vintage Bazaar is located at The Mill – a go-to zone for tourists and locals. Situated opposite the botanic gardens at the northern end of town, The Mill is a makers’ space and is home to a coffee roastery and Viennese cafĂ©, craft brewery and taproom, sourdough baker, smallgoods maker, winemakers, furniture and metal artisans, and artist-in-residence studios for you to explore. And there’s lotsa, lotsa on-site parking for all vehicles great and small.
The Castlemaine Vintage Bazaar is open seven days a week, 10am-5pm, at 1-9 Walker Street, Castlemaine.
