The Kyneton Art Group is a group of creative people having fun, making friends and enjoying life in their creative pursuit of art.
From beginner to seasoned artists, everyone blends to get the most of their time together.
This longstanding group, which began in 1977, meets on Tuesdays between 10am – 5pm at the Red Brick Hall, 23 Yaldwyn Street West, Kyneton.
This provides members with a studio space, secure storage room and mat cutting equipment. Members work in oils, acrylics, watercolour, pastel, pencil, ink and charcoal.
Activities include gallery visits, plein air painting days and regular discounted workshops with acclaimed artists, a gallery on the group’s website, and an opportunity to exhibit and sell their artwork.
Members are excited that this year they will be able to once again participate in the Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival in September, with their annual exhibition, which is held at St Paul’s Anglican church hall.
Other art exhibitions may also be scheduled during the year with the assistance of Kyneton community groups and retailers, such as Kyneton RSL and The Old Auction House, who supported the art group to stage exhibitions in 2021.
For more information about the group and how to join, visit www.kynetonartgroup.com or call Anna McGrath 0411 896 852.
The door is always open if you feel like a visit on a Tuesday. New members always welcome.
