Head-on at Carlsruhe

Emergency services attend the scene of a two-car collision at Carlsruhe on Saturday.

Two people had to be cut from their vehicle following a head-on collision at Carlsruhe on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Cobb and Co Road about 6pm.

Paramedics were able to help one driver from their vehicle, but the driver and front passenger from the second vehicle had to be cut from the wreckage.

Gisborne and Woodend SES and Carlsruhe and Woodend CFA assisted.

A woman in her 20s was airlifted to The Alfred in a stable condition with lower body injuries.

A man in his 20s was transported by road to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition with upper and lower body injuries.

A woman in her 50s was transported by road to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition with lower body injuries.
