After a slow start to the season, the Kyneton District Soccer Club’s senior men have won their last three games.
On Sunday, they took on Maidstone United at Barkly Square. Kyneton opened their account early through Ben Plant putting the ball into the net within the first two minutes of the game. Plant went on to score the first five goals of the game. Goals from Jarryd Cole and Joshua Bauer had Kyneton going to the break a commanding 7 -0 up.
The second half was a closer affair with Maidstone providing more pressure to the ranger’s lads and the game being played at a fast up and down the field pace. Kyneton found an eighth goal when Luke Knight beat the keeper to leave him an open net.
Kyneton ran out 8 – 0 winners and take on Melton Phoenix at home next Sunday. Goals – Ben Plant (5), Joshua Bauer, Luke Knight, Jarryd Cole.
