Excitement is building for the annual Castlemaine Circus Show to be held at The Goods Shed in Kennedy Street this Sunday December 11.

Castlemaine Circus teaches 350 local students each week in circus, the aerial arts and parkour and the annual showcase is a wonderful opportunity for the community to see the talented local trainers and some of the wonderful local students in action!

Castlemaine Circus general manager Kirsty Sutherland said the whole family would be entertained and amazed by their circus trainers, teenage troupes and special guests as they performed acrobatics, aerial acts, foot juggling, clowning, contortion and more.

“The event will be hosted by the colourful carnie MC Madeline Hudson and there will be live Balkan / Latin music by the Kyneton Street Band,” Kirsty said.

The 2pm show will also include performances by Castlemaine Circus trainers, Nichola Hall, Caz Walsh and Nina Robertson, with special guests Erika Hansson, Cassia Jamieson and Ellie Hanuska the Contortionist.

“Castlemaine Circus will also proudly present acts by our most advanced young students,” Kirsty said.

“Aerial Teen Troupers Rita Fortune, delighting you with a comedic flower act on aerial hoop, and Kaeleb Glinski in a spectacular performance on aerial straps.

“The newly created Circus Troupe will also deliver a high energy, impressive comedic mini tramp act.

“Ticket prices are very affordable so bring the whole family.”
