Bike repair station opens

A new bike repair station has opened at Macedon’s Ash Wednesday Park and a community launch to celebrate will offer a prize to one lucky attendee.

The bike repair stand is where cyclists can access a range of tools to make small bicycle repairs and instructions to do so by QR code. It is the first of its kind in the Macedon Ranges, inspired by those seen along bicycle paths in metropolitan areas.

It was jointly funded by the Macedon and Mount Macedon Business and Tourism Association and Bendigo Bank.

The bike repair station’s launch will be held at Ash Wednesday Park on Saturday December 14 at 1pm.

Those who bring along their bike will gain free entry into a draw to win a $150 voucher for Woodend Cycles.
