Miss M’s Lounge at Kyneton has claimed the title of Best Cocktail Bar/Cellar Door in the 2024 Golden Plate Awards.
Judges said it was personality, warmth and creativity that put Miss M’s Lounge on top.
“Warmth, friendliness and personality make Miss M’s special. It was so lovely to be greeted with warmth and friendliness by our host Heather,” judges said.
“Then there are the cocktails. Such a great selection, made with serious passion and creativity. It was a joy to sit by the bar and watch the theatre unfold as the owner Mike mixes his magic ingredients. Such theatre and just so much fun!”
The Golden Plate Awards give recognition to excellence in hospitality in Regional Victoria.
Recognition is based on reviews conducted without notice by two or more independent expert judges with consideration given to food quality/presentation, customer service, use of local produce, availability of local beverages, ambience, and value for money.
It wasn’t just Miss M’s making an impression. Mount Alexander claimed two titles in this year’s awards.
Maldon Bakery won the golden plate award for Unlicensed Cafe, with Firebean Roastery Castlemaine named a finalist, and Five Flags Hotel at Campbells Creek won the Hotel Dining category, with Kyneton Hotel named a finalist.
