The Castlemaine Jazz Festival (June 5-8) is set to welcome renowned African singer, dancer, songwriter and percussionist Dobet Gnahoré to Castlemaine’s historic Theatre Royal for what will be an unforgettable opening night show on Thursday June 5.

Dobet is known for her dynamic performances and ability to blend various musical styles from across the African continent. Her work emphasises cultural preservation and advocacy for women’s rights and empowerment.

The show will see superstar and Grammy winner Dobet Gnahoré take listeners on powerful musical journey with her highly anticipated sixth studio album Zouzou.

This captivating collection of songs is a celebration of Ivoirian rhythms, cultures, and modern sounds that will leave you inspired and uplifted.

Zouzou offers an unforgettable blend of tradition and innovation, with a fresh take on timeless themes such as resilience, unity and the power of womanhood.
