Attention all classic car owners; it’s time for a grease and oil change and to polish those chrome bumpers because the Macedon Ranges Grand Tour is making a comeback!
For 15 years, until Covid lockdowns scuppered the planned 2020 event, the Macedon Ranges Grand Tour attracted participants with more than 100 classic cars to the Macedon Ranges, for a fun day of touring and taking in what the region has to offer.
A new organising committee was formed by a group of enthusiasts from the TD Automobile Club with the aim of bringing back this fun event and a date has now been set.
With the fantastic support of the GREAT Association, the starting flag will be dropped to commence the 2025 Macedon Ranges Grand Tour at 7am on Saturday October 4, from outside the Gisborne Mechanics Institute on Hamilton Street.
The Grand Tour will travel along the most picturesque roads in the Shire, going through many of its townships, while breaking at some well known spots for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Entrants can also book in for dinners on the Friday and Saturday nights.
For those who appreciate classic vehicles but don’t own one, feel free to come down to see the cars lined up on Saturday morning or on Sunday October 5 for the static display in John Aitken Park while the Gisborne Old Time Market is on.
Entries are now open for those who are interested in participating, so book in now as spots are limited and are filling up fast. Bookings can be made via the Macedon Ranges Grand Tour website – www.macedonrangesgrandtour.com.au
