‘The Dance’ is a ballroom dancing event with a twist! Picture Strictly Ballroom meets Bridgerton. A night of classy ballroom dances set to jazzy, New Orleans style soul and blues songs performed by live band The Scufflers.
There will be ballroom lessons on the night, a wholesome supper, sparkling drinks and a dress code ‘fun and fancy’.
Grab a fancy fun outfit and get ready to dance.
Whether you’ve been dancing for decades, or the floor has yet to call you – this dance is for you.
Learn the steps on the night, start spinning and know you’ve made good life choices.
The Dance will be held from 7pm to 11.30pm on Saturday October 18 at the Guildford Public Hall.
What to expect:
Live music by local jazz cats, The Scufflers – Cam Robbins, Justin Mashall, Jeremy Meaden, Rory McDougal and Tamara Murphy.
Step by step instructions for easy ballroom dances.
Classy drinks at sparkling prices.
Time to refresh and mingle over supper – bring a small plate of savoury or sweet treats to share if you can (no pressure).
Doors at 7pm, dancing from 7.30pm.
No dance partner? Not true! They’ve got a whole room ready to dance with you.
A bus will run between the Castlemaine Information Centre to the Guildford Public Hall. Limited seats available.
