Anzac Day service and market combine

A & B Trees of Heathcote returns to the Lancefield Farmers Market on Saturday.

The Lancefield community will come together this Saturday, April 25, for a combined Anzac Day service and farmers market, offering both reflection and local produce in the heart of town.

The Lancefield and District Farmers Market will begin at its usual time of 9am, running along the centre plantation of High Street. The market will pause mid-morning to allow for the Anzac Day service, presented by the Lancefield-Romsey RSL.

The commemorative service will take place from 10.15am to 11.15am at the Soldiers Memorial, located at the Crescent on the eastern end of the market area, behind the Lions Club kiosk. Residents and visitors are warmly encouraged to attend and pay their respects.

Shoppers are advised to arrive early, as some stallholders may temporarily close during the service. Normal market trading will resume once proceedings conclude.

This month’s market will feature a range of regional offerings and attractions, including alpacas on display with information from breeders, fresh bulk tomatoes sourced directly from growers in Yarrawonga, and a selection of indigenous native plants suitable for revegetation projects.

Market organisers are grateful for the strong community support shown the market receives and look forward to welcoming locals and visitors alike for what promises to be a meaningful and well-attended morning.
