Entering its final week, the Macedon Ranges Autumn Festival is offering one last invitation to explore, indulge and celebrate. And at the moment when the festival curtain is expected to fall, instead expect to be surprised with a delicious sensory experience of scents, crackles and smoke as a twilight grand finale event erupts, enticing visitors and locals alike to experience a celebration like no other, along one of the region’s most popular streets.

The inaugural ‘Harvest’ closing night event on April 30 is the ultimate twilight salute to all things autumn.

Harvest will transform parts of Kyneton’s historic Piper Street into a family-friendly feast for the senses, ensuring the 2026 festival is one to remember. Set against a backdrop of glowing lanterns, twinkling lights, botanical installations and crackling fires, Harvest promises a rich sensory experience.

Gather around braziers, relax on hay bales and blankets, and enjoy live music.

Harvest commences with a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony at 4.45pm before live music and performances take over St Paul’s Park, and Kyneton Museum. Local acts including Valley Road, Kyneton Country Revue, The Dusty Millers, plus Cat & Clint, delivering a soundtrack of folk, country and mountain music across multiple stages.

Food, drink, fun and firelight are at the heart of the Harvest, with the night serving up hearty autumn fare, a warm welcoming ambience, and tasty tipples. Expect everything from comforting pies and soups, to roasted chestnuts, warm apple cider, herbal teas and hot toddies.

Nearby, Kyneton Museum will open its doors for free general entry, and family friendly ghost tours will be available. Meantime boutique retailers along popular Piper Street will host late-night shopping and special activations. This is a Festival farewell done right, and in true Macedon Ranges style.

The Macedon Ranges Autumn Festival concludes at 8pm on Thursday April 30.
