Congratulations on the well-crafted letter by Peter Ryan demanding “equal media time and space” for the Flat Earth Society (‘Fabricated truth!’, Opinions, October 16).
Recently a top climate scientist was asked if he would be willing to go on stage yet again in a debate with a climate change sceptic. He gave an emphatic “No”, indicating that the time for that had passed and as long as we kept debating each sceptic that came out of the woodwork, we would never have time to buckle down and start actually doing something about climate change.
Perhaps it is now time to concentrate our future letters on ideas about what we can do about climate change.
