Kyneton Tigers have entered a men’s and women’s team in the Country Basketball League for the second year in a row.
With the Tigers striving for greatness they are hoping for a very successful year ahead with both teams not only aspiring to make finals but take out the championship.
Both teams have been in pre-season training for the past eight weeks and have been coached with precision and experience from a range of coaches, including Chris Tighe women’s head coach and Mick Ryan men’s head coach.
The men and women’s teams are getting ready for the season opener starting this weekend with Kyneton going head to head with Mildura and Swan Hill in their respective towns.
Throughout the season the men’s and women’s teams will play teams across the region such as Wodonga, Echuca, Maryborough and, closer to home, Castlemaine.
Kyneton will host numerous games at the Kyneton Toyota Sports and Aquatic Centre Main Stadium. There will be raffles, a shooting competition at half time during the games and a ‘name our mascot’ competition.
So come along, grab a bite to eat, meet our mascot and be the roar for our Kyneton Tigers teams for our debut game on October 20 when Kyneton versus Echuca women’s game starts at 6pm and the men’s at 8pm.
