Castlemaine Cycling Club member Jade Maddern has been selected to represent Victoria at the 2022 Australian National Track Championships at the Anna Meares Velodrome in Brisbane later this month.

Maddern will join 11 junior and senior riders from the Bendigo Cycling Club representing our region.

The central Victorian riders make up a third of the Vic squad, signalling the strength of cycling in the local region.

Maddern said he was surprised but delighted to be selected.

“I’m excited to be representing Victoria in Brisbane. I’m happy to be the first Castlemaine cyclist selected for the team in over five years and I hope to do our club and Castlemaine proud,” he said.
