Campbells Creek Football Netball Club has made its return to the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football Netball League after a year’s recess.

The side celebrating with the season opening match against the Avoca Bulldogs (Round 2 on the fixture) at its home ground at the Campbells Creek Recreation Reserve last Saturday.

Club Secretary Marg Stevens said it was a massive day.

“It was so good to be back at the Creek. It was a big crowd and we sold out of everything!” she said.

“Huge thanks to the Avoca Football Netball Club for throwing their support behind us as part of the season opener and thank you to our wonderful Creekers, for everything they have done behind the scenes to make the return a success.

We are elated to be back on the ground and court,” she said. See this Friday’s Castlemaine Mail for the report.
