Maryborough Castlemaine District Football Netball League sides contested round five matches in crisp autumn conditions last Saturday.
Newstead played host to Lexton. The Newstead Seniors made an admirable start to their contest kicking 4-2 to the Tigers 4-3 in the first term to only trail by one point at quarter time.
