The sun was shining, no sign of any rain, and some of Lancefield’s keenest cricketers were enjoying themselves at the club’s first practise session on Sunday morning.
The Tigers’ have two men’s sides, one in Jensen Shield (first round on Saturday, October 8) and Club Grade (Saturday, October 15).
There are also expected to be two women’s sides in yellow and black colours this season.
New players will be warmly welcomed; no experience or equipment necessary.
The club’s Registration/Come and Try Day is on Sunday, September 11.
President Andrew Richardt and secretary Pauline Goodes expressed appreciation to the Bendigo Bank for providing a
$500 reconnection grant to support the registration day.
The Tigers will continue to devote time to building up junior ranks.
