Dalhousie District Golf Association president Mary Campbell received deserving recognition at the Australian Women’s Sport 2022 Women in Sport breakfast on Friday.
She was recognised as “a leader and advocate for all things fair within country golf”.
The Dalhousie president has been a member of Romsey, Trentham and Broadford golf clubs over the years.
The official recognition stated she was instrumental in the Dalhousie District amalgamation and strategic direction, and is now guiding the modernisation of 15 more Victorian golf districts.
“Mary embodies women and girls’ engagement, bringing the Australian Golf Strategy to life in regional communities,” the citation concluded.
