Players from all codes participated in an impressive Anzac Day ceremony at the inaugural ‘Clash of the Tigers’ encounters between Lancefield and Kyneton.
The LFNC awarded medals to exemplify the Anzac spirit of skill, courage, self-sacrifice, teamwork and fair play, and they were named in honour of some of the great names in Lancefield who were Anzacs.
The Ike Johnston Medal for football went to Adam Miles, the Bonny Lamb Medal for netball to Ella Stoward, and the Jack Bristow Medal for women’s football to Catriona Goldsworthy.
Special thanks went to the Romsey-Lancefield and Kyneton RSL sub-branches for their involvement, to district parliamentary representative Mary-Anne Thomas, RSM Sean McElhinney who delivered the Ode, Romsey-Lancefield RSL president Reinhard Goschiniak and bugler Bridget McAuley.
