Grand finals in the three divisions of Highlands pennant bowls take place this weekend.
On Sunday at Woodend, Kyneton goes into the division one grand final as hot favourite against Romsey, after an 80-56 semi-final win over the Redbacks.
Romsey is trying to win its first-ever top-grade bowls premiership, and the Redbacks are buoyed after downing Kyneton Golf by 25 shots in the preliminary final.
A very large crowd is expected at Woodend tomorrow (Sunday) for the big match, beginning at 1pm.
As expected, selectors at Kyneton stuck with their 12 players from the second semi-final, while Romsey made one change with Rod Schwarzenberg replacing John Fryer as leader in Aaron Young’s team.
AT LANCEFIELD
Today (Saturday) the second and third division grand finals are being played at Lancefield.
Woodend and Kyneton meet in division 2, and it’s a Mount Cottrell versus Kyneton battle in division 3.
Good luck to all teams in the grand finals.
