Kyneton Football Netball Club’s FIDA football team has made it to the Grand Final for the very first time.
The side finished the season unbeaten on top of the ladder.
Coach Peter Connor said he was extremely proud of the team’s efforts this year and excited for the grand final.
“I’ve been coaching for four years and to go from being in last place to being undefeated this year is an amazing effort by the whole team,” he said.
“Their determination to show up every week in those years that we weren’t winning goes to show that hard work really does pay off.
“I’m really proud of the team and hopefully we can win the big dance.”
The match between Kyneton and the Bendigo Suns will be played at 12pm on Sunday, August 17, at Weeroona Oval, Bendigo.
