It is to be officially launched at the club’s Community Christmas Party this Friday evening.
Home Alone will be featured on the big screen at what is shaping up as one of the busiest times of the year for the cricket club.
The scoreboard will be used during games and also to show movies, as part of the major $1.39 million upgrade at Gilbert Gordon.
The new netball courts have been a significant part of the overall upgrade at this major community-orientated sporting centre in Woodend.
Woodend Cricket Club is involved in the ’16 days of Activism’ campaign against gender-based violence, and this week players are to participate in an ‘Allies of Change’ workshop.
This Saturday, Woodend cricket teams will be at home to Macedon in a Twenty/20 double, showing the club’s support against gender-based violence.
President Daniel Heaney said club members would also be celebrating the 30th anniversary of its McIntyre Cup and B-grade premierships.
