Kyneton Football Netball Club has seemingly made the recruiting coup of the season, with highly rated Kristina Manu’a coming to play at Tigerland.
The New Zealand born star has been playing at the top level for the past 11 years, and has decided to step back from her professional career.
A former Australian Diamond who debuted in 2016, she captained her nation, Samoa, in 2023.
For the past two seasons Manu’a has played with Melbourne Mavericks and Sunshine Coast Lightning.
Lightning has glowingly praised the tenacious defender for her service, and wished her well.
She is presently playing with Bendigo VNL and looking forward to her time ahead with Kyneton.
“It’s an absolutely huge announcement for our club, but for also netball in general in our town,” club president Julie Priestley said.
“To have a player with the calibre of Kris at Kyneton is going to be a massive boost to our netball program and we can’t wait to have Kris wearing that yellow and black dress.”
