Having not raced since October 16, Irascible Miss effortlessly won for Kyneton trainer George Osborne at Kilmore on Thursday.
Alana Kelly – pictured bringing the four-year-old mare back to scale – rated her perfectly in front to win by nearly two lengths in the 1200m bet365 Odds Drift Protector Maiden Plate.
“It’s onwards and upward for this daughter of Warhorse,” the pleased trainer and part-owner said.
Starting a $5 chance, the very lightly raced Irascible Miss ran up to her impressive jump-out form and should be improved by the run.
Alana Kelly also rode seven gallopers for Osborne in the Kilmore jump-outs on Friday.
This Thursday, March 17, Kyneton and Hanging Rock Racing Club is looking forward to staging another meeting at Kyneton.
There is expected to be at least eight races, with the gates to open at 11am.
